Whether it’s a flood, tornado, or hurricane, SBC disaster relief units are the first to bring relief and a cup of cold water in Jesus’ name.

Local Units

CBA maintains two active/local Disaster Relief units:  one focusing on cleanup & recovery (19R – shared with Sarepta Assoc.), and one specializing in maintaining communications/coordinating relief efforts while normal systems are inoperative.  Other types of disaster relief ministry may include food preparation, meeting spiritual needs (chaplaincy), or specialized skills (chainsaw, etc.)  Training is required and regularly scheduled via the Georgia Baptist Convention.  Contact Horace Maddox at (770) 561-6473 or [email protected] for details.
